Question Clunk in front end

This weekend I took out my 2000 EX (4wheel drive v-10, 27000 miles) and it started to make a clunk which can be felt in the steering wheel. I only notice it when the wheel is cut (either side) and I begin to straighten out at low speed. Typically, its when you back out of a parking space, put in Drive and start straightening out the wheel -a definate "CLUNK" and the steering wheel jerks slightly. Every thing else seems fine- no problems at all. Normal driving is as good as ever.
I'll have to get underneath it to see whats going on this Friday or Saturday.
Any suggestions what to look at or check first?

I am no mechanic, but last time I heard that noise it was a broken spring... just a thought..

I did look under it when I got home. I saw nothing obvious- springs looked good, everything looks ok visually. Other than the clunk at very low speed, every thing seems fine. I'm thinking a worn front end part (although I only have 27k on it) or maybe a problem with the hubs? Thanks for the reply.
