Lock out removal
Sorry, I'm sure this has been hashed, but in a search back for over a year...found some generalities, but nothing specific. Got a rattle and noise similar to bearings going dry. Traced it to the lock out on passengers side. Don;t think it's teh hub assembly as only does it when in "free" mode. Question is...how do you get it out? Pulled the retaining ring...simple enough. Tried wedging it our with a screw driver...no avail. Is there a trick? Need to be engaged or in free mode?
Read used a rubber hammer to smack it out...and an oil filter wrench to yank on it. So bottom line is pull the ring and use whatever brute force is necessary to get it out?
