Mark Martin

Mark Martin, 2004 Nextel Cup Champion! got a good ring to it huh? I just hope it aint Kurt Busch, even though he drives for the "cat in the hat" as well. And as for junior, well he's a good man but he just drives the wrong brand of car.

I don't really keep up with it much anymore. Not all that fond of how they market Nascar, but that's another story. Yeah, Mark deserves a break after the 1990 close call and I am not sure how many more years he will race. I would imagine until his son is old enough to get into a Cup car.

I agree about Martin. I have been watching NASCAR since they WERE stock cars, but I'm almost at the point of stopping because of the endless commercials with a little racing in between. I understand about the money involved, but there is a point where I (and others) will walk away.

I'd love to see Marting get it. He's been so close so many times and never made it. I'll keep pulling for him. I think he's one of the better drivers in the series. Most consistent driver out there. Seems every time I check he 6th in the running order.

I consider Mark to be the gentleman of NASCAR. Have you ever seen him spout off like some of the more "popular" drivers in the past? He gets in a wreck, he just says he's disgusted or something, but never cusses anyone out and is always polite...a gentleman. He more than deserves to win the championship. I don't even bother watching NASCAR anymore though..but if he stands a good chance of winning, I hope ya'll will let me know and I may watch the end of the season.

Anyone see a coincidence going on here? Martin came real close to winning a championship only to lose it because he was docked points by Nascar. Hmmm maybe his day is returning and the payback is about to show. Wonder how they will try and screw him out of the championship this time. Jr. is a good guy and I kinda like the way he says what he thinks and the heck with Hilton but if the powers to be are gong to set things straight then it is time for Martin to get back what was taken years ago. As for Busch he is young and a good driver with a great team so he will have his chances in the future. Elliot also has a good team and is a good driver so his time will come too. But if I was betting I would have to say that Nascar will somehow ensure that a GM wins the title.

NASTYCAR could never let a Ford driver take the title two years in a row! That might be called a dynasty. Let`s hope that some how happens.

I have no faith in NASCAR at all anymore...thats why I don't watch it. Too much favoritism towards GM over the years has chased me away. Seems like every time Ford wins, they pass another rule against them. Blah at NASCAR....the only NASCAR I look at is my truck, every day.

It would be great to see Mark Martin win,,he is one of the few,," Gentlemen Driver's" for sure,,as for Kurt Busch,,he has matured alot in this last yr or so, and I (we) my sons and I cheer for him and or any other driver of the Blue Oval that has a chance to win. My GF's favorite car is M&M's # 38, and Elliot Sadler has a great chance to win, and a great team now also.

You all notice how # 21,,Ricky Rudd has come to life since " Fatback " Michael Mcswain (spelling ) has become his crew cheif ???

I really cant stand all the commercials when the race is on, it is worse on some stations,,NBC is the worst I think,,
N othing
B ut
C ommercials

I myself think I will soon tape them or just watch the last 30 mins,,, so I can do something productive in that 2 hrs or so,,just to avoid all the Junk we have to put up with when waching NASCAR events.

Later,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Mark
