superchips tuner
well, i goofin around on Ebay today and i saw some superchips microtuners....what kind of horsepower settings can i expect for my '95 manual? and would buying one off of Ebay be advisable?

If it is an older tuner it has 2 settings, I think 40 and 60 for the 94 - 97's. If it is the newer tuner it has 3 settings, maybe an added 90 hp setting. I am not certain about these numbers, maybe someone else can tell for sure. As far as buying off ebay, make sure if it is used that the owner has set his truck back to stock, if not it will not work on another one.

i did see one that said VIN locked, so i'm guessing to stay away from that one. as near as i can tell they added an 80 HP setting to the new one. has there ever been any complaints about the tuner?

If it says its vin locked, dont buy it! I have the 1700 with two settings, 60hp/115ft, 80hp/130ft and I like it! I bought mine off of ebay for $140 and it works great. Before you bid (if you do) ask seller if it has been down loaded back into the tunner. Just like 01Stroker said it can only be used on one truck at a time. The programmer with the 3 programs (1705) also has a code scaner in it. I dont know the hp or the torque on it. I hope I helped ya out? If you have more questions on the 1700, give a reply.
