Hello, Please point me in the right direction for information on parts and Ex. for a 1989 Ford Bronco 2 2.9L. This is what I would like to do.
1. Rebuild 2.9L or get a new one
OR
2. Install of a 5.0L (302) If it can be done.
3. Lift Kit
And other parts. I have looked every where that I know, cant find anything. even my local ford dealer does not have parts, and what parts they have cost to much. like 89.00 for (1) replacment speaker.
Please reply to: zr13@onebox.com
As Im looking, I might forget this page.
Thanks
I rebuilt my 89 Bronco II a couple of years ago. I pulled the engine and left the heads on & crank in. I had a machine shop go thru it and put on World Casting heads. These heads weigh 5 lbs more, but do not crack like the Ford ones. I put the engine back in after installing the oil pump, pan, intake, exhaust manifold etc. The cost for the engine rebuild and parts by the shop was $1700.00 This included new pistons, rings , gaskets, cam, bearings, oil pump, lifters etc.A little pricey but those new heads cost me about $500.00 Runs great. Hope this will help.
