Question Fog Light Question

I've got a 2000 XLT with fog lights. I'd like to change the wiring so that the fog lights are on without having to pull out the switch. And when I pull the switch out it would turn them off. Do any of you know if this is possible?

Well, the easiest way would be to find the relay that operates the lights, and replace it with a normaly closed type.

As installed now, you probably have a normally open type of relay, when you pull the switch on the dash, it applies power to the relay, closing it and powering up the lights. A normally closed type of relay will do the opposite, it will open when power is applied.

I know that is the exact link I needed for my playing around. I actually have wired my fogs to run any time the key is on (use as DRL's) and my KC's to the original fog system. Yes, I used all the right relays and such to not overload the switches. Now, I will be able to turn on my 2-100 watt KC's when ever I "feel the need".
