m5od syncro gears
my 89 f150 with a m5od recently would not shift into 4th gear, it was like there was something preventing the shifter from even trying to go in. I pulled the cover of the tranny, and the shifter forks and rails are fine, but the syncro/blocker rings on 3rd and 4th have a lot of play in them. could this be what is preventing me from shifting into 4th gear? Also could a lack of fluid be the culprit?
