Replacing cargo light

I would like to replace the cargo light on my 92 F150, regular cab to an updated version with the brake light. Any suggestions..?

Thanks

Find the correct wire on the brake pedal switch. One of the wires will be hot all the time, and one will be hot only when the brake pedal is pressed.

Add/splice in a new wire into the wire on the brake pedal that is hot when pressed. Run this wire over behind the driver's side kick-panel and underneath the sill panel along the side where the door gasket is, and come out behind the seat in the rear cab corner. Fish another wire(a coat hanger wire may work here) down through the old light hole and try to make it come out in the driver's side cab corner where you can hook to the wire from the brake pedal and pull it up to the light mounting hole. Use this new wire to power the red part of the light, and the original wire to power the white part of the light.
