I read a thread in one of the forums this past week concerning what people miss about trucks from past eras. There seemed to be a lot of negativity toward new trucks, that style and good design and metal have been sacrificed in the name of profit, that trucks have become softer and somewhat of a joke. I wholeheartedly disagreed and maintained that there were good things about trucks from all eras, that things naturally change. Style and design haven't been lost, they are simply different - you can't live in the golden fifties forever I for one appreciate both old and new. Anyhow, it made me want to photograph my two trucks side by side, just to show how two things can be very different, but still very beautiful. So I did. Here is one picture, the rest are in my gallery:

Nice to see a post that's thoughtful and reasonable. Every vehicle has its place in our lives.
Reminds me of a friend who won $3 million dollars about 10 years ago. He was always a Dodge man and one of the things he aquired was a new 4X4. Another thing he could do is really indulge his passion for Brittany's.
Seemed like every time I ran into him he was driving his old truck with the new one sitting in the driveway. Finally one day I asked him why he drove the old one so much and his answer really put things in perspective. He said "I drive the old one because it's the dogs' truck."
Really enjoy your gallery and keep those old/new pics coming.
