Bosch +4 plugs?

I have read various threads on Bosch plugs with opinons varying from the truck runs awful to never ran better.

I am about to have the plugs replaced on my truck and was wondering, if it were your choice, would you choose Motorcarft OEM or Bosch platinum +4 plugs?

Stick with Motorcraft. I put in some NGK Iridium IX plugs and they work fine, but they set off my check engine light with a misfire code. They burn a little hot. I haven't taken them off and the light never came back on so all is well. I know the correct Motorcraft plugs will work just fine as they are supposed to last 100K and are platinum. O'Reilly's sells them for $3 a piece.

BTW, Bosch's plugs are junk for our Expy's. I bought some +2's and they were horrible. They just don't get a good spark going. Maybe for other vehicles they work good, but not ours.

I changed my plugs at 72,000 miles with autolite double platinum. the motorcraft had slight wear, all were gapping around .060. you must admit, no one complains about reinstalling motorcraft. i think they're a very good plug. they are a single platinum though, for the 5.4 that is. my reason to go with the double platinum was so that the gap wouldnt erode as quick, that was my thinking. its been 20,000 miles now and its runs smooth as silk, gas mileage good...13.5 around town and almost 17 on the freeway, and no problems whatsoever. i can only recommend either of these two plugs based on my experience.

Motorcraft, it is not worth the time to redo the problem of a missfire, install what the engineers designed to use with that engine, Motorcrafts are available in double platinium now. I don't know if the Dealer has them, but at the good Automtive stores that sell Motorcraft they should have them, at least ours does. .02 Broken Wire

As always, EXCELLENT advice from the board!!
Those plugs are hard enough to do once, can't imagine doing them twice!

Looks like Motorcraft double platinum it will be!

Sorry, the misfire codes were because of a faulty pcv valve. NGK Iridium IX plugs (and 9mm Ford Racing Wires) have my Expy running the best since I bought it.
