Arrow steering questions

I drive a 1998 2.5L 2wd manual transmission, and a couple days ago I noticed that my power steering fluid was overflowing slightly out of the overflow hole on the lid. I have added nothing, and have not noticed any degradation of steering quality. This is the first time this has happened, and I have owned it for 5 months so far. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Did you turn the wheel without the truck running?

Yes...

Actually yes, a week or 2 ago, I was rear-ended [ there is no structural damage - only the bumper ] and I had to push the truck out of the road without turning it on because there was gasoline spilled on the ground. Did that create an air bubble in the hoses? or what?

Do you see it overflowing or is the residual fluid from when you turned the wheel with the engine off? If it's just leftover, refill to the correct level and keep you eye on things for a little while.

Turning the steering wheel without the truck running will force power steering fluid out of the resevior, letting air bubbles in. Do a search for bleeding power steering fluid, should tell you how to bleed the system and hopefully it will fix your problems.
