engine swap

I have already touched lightly on swapping engines in my 85 bronc 2 and have made a couple decisions. I have opted to put a 4.0 v-6 (or possibly a 4.3L) engine in, and was wondering if anyone with this type of major engine work experience could answer a couple of questions. Will a 4.0 v-6 require me to get a new transmission, or any other major component(s)? I am planning on getting a factory remanufactured 4.0, not a brand new one...any idea what that would cost me? Also, the 2.8 v-6 that is currently in my truck is only 8 months old (the guy I bought it from put it in, it is remanufacted as well), and has a new carburator, and i was wondering how much I could possibly get for this (through a trade in with the engine shop). Any and all ideas and answers with be greatly appreciated.
