92 F150 heater problem
My girlfriend has a 92 F150, and the heater is not working correctly. The problem is that it takes like 45 minutes for the heat to kick in. The heater core has already been replaced twice, and the thermostat has been recently replaced. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Run the truck for a short distance, then feel the hoses leading to the heater core. If they are cool, then the problem is at the engine or heating system. Make sure the correct thermostat was installed. If the hoses are hot, then it could be the controls inside the cab. Run the fan and move the heat to control to hot. It you don't feel any warm air coming from the vent, I would take the cover off the heater core and make sure the wire from the dash control is connected to the vent. Since the heater core was replaced, the wire might have not been properly connected when everything was put back together.
