My overdrive light started blinking the other day accompanied by hard shifts between 1-2. Suggestions have been: VSS sensor on the differential, bad solenoid, and change fluid/filter.
On a whim I disconnected the battery yest. to clear any codes. Sho'nuff the od light stoped blinking and the truck shifted smooth as glass. Drove around town stop and go for 10-15 mi. This leads me to believe it is some sort of sensor/electrical prob. rather than mechanical. Anybody have experience with this? Ideas?
