Wife's door took control
Only quirk with our new ride is that the passenger door controls the interior lights, meaning that opening the driver's door doesn't turn them on but the passenger door opening turns them on, and after I pull the key out, the radio or dvd keeps playing until the passenger door opens, not the driver's door. Is there a simple lead switch and where?
No answers on the electrical forum so thought I'd move up here. Thanks

Happened to gf's 2004 f-250 6.0. Dealer just replaced the driver door pin. You could either have a bad pin, or it became disconnected. Your dealer shoudl be able to fix it in under an hour.
Best of Luck,
Corey
The switching mechanism for the lights (which is the same switch that tells the truck the door is opened) gets stuck.
Most problems with it I've seen are that the lights won't shut OFF. Your problem is the exact opposite but may be caused by the same thing.
Worth a try, I guess...could save you a few hours without your truck.
Oh and welcome to FTE!
