rough engine after warm
rough engine after warm
we have an 87 bronco 2, when its cold it runs like a champ, but when its warm it bucks and misses and acts like its running lean. I've changed plugs, air filters, think maybe in the computer? How do you check the computer codes? I read some other listings and i am going to check the egr valve. Any suggestions?

Saw your message from back in March and my exact model is doing exactly the same thing and started in March (too much of a coincidence). Tell me how you got it fixed (email joezad@nicolavalley.com)

my truck still misses a little when it is cold, but i am having the same problem. i have replaced and rerun the wires for the o2 sensor. i have replaced the engine coolant temp sensor, air charge temp sensor, map sensor<--all of these until i found out my computer was going crazy so i replaced the computer. i had a disconnected hose from the intake manifold to the vapor canister. i have replaced the fuel filter and high pressure pump along with the fuel pressure regulator. my engine has been rebuilt from the heads up. the timing is perfect. i replaced the ignition module on the distributor with the cap and rotor and all new spark plugs and wires. i run the computer codes and it keeps telling me my engine is running lean. the engine runs strong though, i can pull a spark plug out of any cylinder, and the engine will run exactly the same. the engine does, though, have 261000 miles and i am going to totally rebuild it in the beginning of june. if anyone figures out the problem, please tell. my 88 2.9 doesn't have an egr valve, so i don't know where to go next.
