Fuel Problems
Greetings, I have a problem with my 86' Ranger w/ at and 2.9L. I've had it for a month repairing several small items ( water pump, thermostat, freeze plug). It had been sitting for a year. I got it started and it ran fine even though it was hard to start. When I went to start it last week it would not fire. I shot some ether into the filter tube and it fired but would not keep running. I thought this may be a fuel pump but when I checked the inertia switch there was no power to either side of the switch. This tells me the problem is somewhere ahead of the switch. I'm at the end of my ability and need some advice, what do I do next? I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer so you may have to explain in a detail. Thanks for your time. SHD
