The "reserve not met" opening price is $500. Heck, here in Texas you can buy the whole truck for $500-$800 sometimes in running condition. It will be interesting to see how much it sells for!
Up around here, in New England, just finding a stepside bed not rotted out is a rare find.
But you are right, any truck is worth nothing as a whole unit, but as parts......priceless.
I know from where you speak because I once lived in that area. Although the sheetmetal has a tendancy to disappear over time in that area, the interiors survive way better than the ones in the sunbleached south. It's a trade off.
I thought I had found the best 1991 Lincoln Town Car 60/40 leather seat for my truck until I had started to unbolt the mounts. As I grabbed the top of the seat to remove it, my thumb went through the brittle Lincoln star. I ended up with a cloth bench seat from a 1995 Eddie Bauer.
