i was calling around getting prices on injectors, and i called diesel innovations to get some prices. They told me that i could get more power and save a couple grand by just putting a performance fuel system on my psd 03 model and putting a better torque converter, and a upgraded valve body for my auto tranny. And they also said that they would add a 6 position custom chip. And that it would add about 140 horses. Should i go with this performance high pressure fuel system or go with injectors.
I wanted to get some input from all of you guys before i did anything.
So let me know what yall think.
If money is a non issue, then all of the above would be the way to go, and before you make any power enancements you need to get a set of gauges to monitor exhaust gas temps, boost, and tranny temps. Also, the intake and the exhaust really need to be addressed along with the chip and the fuel system IMO.
im sorry, but i forgot to mention my mods: i already have the guages, garrett ball bearing turbo gtp38r, high pressure oil crossover hose, 5'' exhaust, afe stage 2 air intake.
In that case, get the biggest baddest chip you can find and the regulated return fuel system and go to town. You can do the injectors too if you're really power hungry, but you will have to have a chip to see their full potential, so there's no reason not to do it first.
