Had the TSB done about a month ago(Grease and Clutch Pack). Put 1500 miles on the truck since then. It was smooth sailing for awhile. Guess what came back last week. CLUNK!!!!!
It's a little more subtle than the original and it doesn't happen every time, but it's still there.
Anyone else experience this?
Time to go talk to my buddies at Island Ford.
Yup, that's the one. now that my truck is in for failed brakes, i got the dealer to admit that this is only a temporary fix. He has the same problem on his Expedition
2oo4 screw lariat, same here they replaced the clutches in mine at 8,000 miles and now its back at 10,000 miles and worse then the first time. getting ready to take it back to the dealership for another fix.
Having the same problem. Only happens once and awhile when I take off. I hear it more when I accelerate around a corner, come to a coast, and then accelerate again. It sounds like the transmission drops out of my truck. After the sound, I lose power for a moment, and then the truck runs fine. Does anyone know if this would have anything to do with a clunk when I put my truck in reverse? Thanks-
