Ford Credit
Hey folks I have missed about 2 an a Half payments on my F250 Diesel with 270,000 miles on it Still running great.. but things have put things on hold for a bit.. Is Ford Credit Ruthless about repos I only have a bout a Year left in payments.. Just askin if anybody has been there Thanks All.. Spud in Austin

the worst thing that you can do is avoid them. That will just make them mad and it makes matters worse. Call them up and talk to them and ask them if they will work with you. Be willing to send them something, even if it is just a half payment or something.

My brother had that problem and they wound up refinancing it over a longer period so the payments were lower. Wound up paying more in the long run but got to keep his truck. That was a few years ago so im not sure what there doing now.

I have no experience with Ford Credit but I can lend you some sound advice regardless of whom you’re dealing with. First of all you need to call them and tell them your situation. Keep it short and just the facts. Be humble and don’t blame anyone and most importantly, repeatedly express your desire to get caught up as soon as possible. Offer to pay ALL you can today and then send it to them right away. Don’t delay because you need to prove your desire to do all you can despite your current situation. At the next payment due date, send all that you can even if it’s not the full amount. Why? Creditors are willing to work with people who are showing good faith. The worst thing you could do is not sending anything. Good luck and God bless.
