yeah, that's when mine goes out. lol. manual steering will fix your problem. think about it...there is nothing on the steering that would be affected by how much gas youre giving it. as long as you have rpms, the pump pressurizes, the control valve lets fluid through, and the cylinder forces the wheels to turn. weird, eh?

76Ford, try that with a Bendix power steering box, white knuckle time as the steering is sensitive at high revs and when driving over the ton (100) mph. I just converted to a FoMoCo steering box on the 68 CS, things are better now.
