I want a meterologists job! Those guys can only guess 24 hrs in advance. I'm sure that cowboy will have to wait till the last minute to make up his mind anyway.
Yes, we should meet for coffee. There are a couple good restaraunts right up the street. We should meet at the Perkins just off of 33rd St when you get off 380.
There, my 2 cents! Y'all can name a time and/or another preference!
If Perkins is easy to find I'm for that. 2-3 hour drive I'd prefer later morning or something but most of you are probably going to actually look for parts and should be there alot earlier than I think I can make it down there. So I'll leave that vote to everyone else.
Sure hope someone yonger than I shows up I don't want to have to buy.
Elma. Kinda in the norhteast corner of the state. Biggest problem with riding with someone else would be differences of opinion when leaving. It's like carpooling to work if I get to the point where I have to, need to, or just want to leave I don't want to either wait for the other guy(s) or be responsible for pulling them from where they want to be. Guess I am just strange that way but I have always been like that.
Perkins is visiable from 380, same exit as many other restaurants, Burger King, Wendy's. and McDonalds a bit down the road, and many hotels as well, I know there's a fairfield and a Comfort inn there too.About 8-8:30 should be about the latest to be meeting, because the swap meet dies down between noon and 2. So that mesns I have to drag my butt out early and get there. I may cheat and be there the night before though, too.
spaces can be bought the day of, don't have to reserve them. It's up to you all as to whether to get one or not, at this time I'm not planning on taking anything.
I probably won't be able to make it to the meeting/swap meet. If the weather cooperates, I'll be in the field and getting some beans combined. If it's wet, I might be at the swap.
I personally think 8am at perkins is a good time, and place to meet, if we make it later we will miss alot of the stuff going on, and the noon hour is not a good time to try, and get intothat place (perkins I mean), only thing is that means I will have to leave here around 5am but what the heck I like night driving.
I'll be at Perkins around 8:00... Looks like it's going to be too chilly for a 250 mile motorcycle ride. It's probably better to bring a Ford truck to an FTE meeting anyway.
I'll try to be there around 8 - 8:30. Oldest boy is going to come along so we'll see how getting him out of bed, or him getting me out of bed, goes. Plan to take off from here 5:30 to 6 should put us down there by then.
Will be in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, sorry the Ford is down and I wouldn't trust it for that long of a trip just yet. Red, no rear wing, cracked front "ground effects", possibly really loud music pouring from to keep me awake.
I can't afford to run mine, so a purple 95 Grand Am is the wheels I will have. I did get a nice seat put in so I can stand to drive it, but with diesel being $2 a gallon, it takes a lot to run my 13 mpg beast.
For those that don't make it to Perkins, but will be at the swap meet, I will likely be wearing my black Jensen Grain jacket with 4 towns in South Dakota listed for the locations. Also look for the black Market America hat with the red white and blue stripes on it.
