Wierd Overdrive Problem
I have a 90 F-150, when I'm at cruising speed, the tranny will not shift into OD. This is where it gets a little crazy- If I stomp on the accelerator, it will go into OD, the RPMS drop, BUT as soon as the RPM's drop with the accelerator down, it shifts immediately out of OD. It will not hold into OD. I first noticed it after working on the steering column. I was going up a steep hill and as I pushed down of the gas pedal it shifted into OD. Is there a possibility that the wiring in the steering wheel got shorted or could this be something else? Thanks, Terry
