OK I just want some tips that everyone is using. Be it for safety, helping keep things clean what ever. I'll start.
1) I bought one of those roll around stands that fell apart in no time but it came with a magnetic mat that covered the work surface so I hung it on the wall later without thinking I mounted a grinder in front of it. WOW it works great when you grind ferrous metal. All the stuff that normaly flys around the shop now sticks to the mat.
2) Task lights! I never had enough light where I needed it and every time I tried to put a portable light I dropped it and broke it or it was in the way. So I streached a 1/4" rubber coated cable across the ceiling in the center but I could have done more if my shop were wider. I then put a carabiner on it, now I can hook a drop light and slid it right over my work. Any cord is just tied out of the way. The cable also works to hang small parts to hit them with some paint as well.
If you have one of those little fridges in the garage, make a stand for it out of 2x4's and anchor it to the wall, about three and a half feet or so off the floor. This way you don't have to bend down to get drinks, and your garbage can will fit right under it. Saves floor space.

In the process of remodeling my shop and you just gave me another idea I will use. Great spacesaver idea.
