Are any of you guys running the Pro Comp Xterrain tires?
I'm looking at the Xterrain or the BFG AT 315/75r16.
I've had the BFG's and loved them, just looking at some other options.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
Can't go wrong with the BGF AT's. One of the better all around tires out there. Haven't heard much about the the Pro Comps, except they seem to cost less than the BFG's. My old truck kept it's BFG's for 55k and 45k. The 45k set was 6 years old and had still had life left when I sold the truck.
I currently have the pro comp AT in 285/75 on stock wheels. The truck rides ok noise is somewhat low. They will never make the promised 50K miles. They pro rate your tires for how many miles less than 50K you got out of them and only to another pro comp tire. They are very expensive. "I will never buy another set of pro comps"! My winter tire is MT Baha Claw in 305. Kinda close to the xterrain. They shake the truck pretty good at lower speeds. above 55 mph they smooth out some and the RoooR die's down also. Below 55 the entire truck shakes from the tread design. The kind of shake that Loosens things! Like lug nuts, and Seat mount bolts. For my next summer tire, I will go back to the MT MTX. Good to great tire for the money. At $108 each I didn't care that they only made it 35K miles.
