Just a few weeks ago some friends told me my new truck had old people colors. I laughed, I'm only 33. It is a stupid question but what are your comments on color selection? I factory ordered this truck and am really happy with it. I actually picked the color after seeing it elsewere, It wasn't my first choice. 04 Arizona Beige on Black F-250 SuperCab 4x4. I've never made that kind of connection before.
I'm 33 with Arizona Beige. I drove to 5 dealers looking for this color. We are getting up in years, you know. I have even approached a painter to paint a black section on the bottom. Maybe they are old people colors, but I prefer them. Old people buy white or light blue.
never heard that that particular color scheme was for old people, but i like it just fine, and at the ripe old age of 42 i guess it figures....but seriously if you like it who caresyou bought it! besides its probably them just tring to get under your skin they probably drive a very plain colored truck. Hey I'm 28 and I like my arizona beige 02 F150!! What does you friend consider "young" colors? Maybe his retinas have be burned by all those ricers with irridescent, metal flake, glitter paint jobs!!??!
Hey guys hate to put a damper on your old timers talk. This color does not really apply to trucks as much as cars, but take a drive through an RV park look at all the vehicles towed behind the big diesel pushers, then drive through the section of town where the 55+ people live or known retirement communities. The gold, beige, maroon, and tan cars are the primary colors. Most the toyota camry. Every car accident I go one with a color car of the above colors is driven by a blue hair. On that note, they tend to not be as visible by the police or over looked when speeding etc. due to the stigma.
At 36 I am into the old colors! As a kid I lover black and bark blue and such, now I still like the look but dark colors are too hot and to hard to keep clean. Give me white, light grey / silver or beige any day!!!
