My criteria for color was that it not be too hot in the Texas sun and I had to have a tan interior. (I already had one of those $13 plastic cup holders and just needed a truck to match) I wanted a silver truck but couldn't get a tan interior. Therefore, I settled on Beige.
I shopped in Houston in May for my truck. Those dark trucks were soooooo hot to the touch. I could even put my hand 1" from the hood and feel the difference. The difference in temperatures was very noticeable. I'd drive a pink truck if it was the coolest (least hot) color. Wife ruled out white, said it would look like a work truck (which begs the question, what's wrong with work trucks?)
My favorite color is blue on tan. Forest green is up there on my list too.
I'm in my 50s, so must be approaching geezerdom and my truck is red. The wife doesn't like the color, but look at my user name. She wanted pewter. I got a good deal on the red one and really like the color.
I'm 36 and love the F1 red color; IMO is looks larger and looks new after many years. Not that other colors can't look new. Just what people have said about my 6 yr old truck (sig). I also like silver, but then again I may be a little accentric?? Anyway, better any PSD then none.
This is a funny topic. It's all in personality to me. You can make the Beige/Black look like an old person's color or really pimp. Just depend on the point of view. For me black and white are my favorites, but I have seen both on trucks that I could instantly identify as an "old person's truck" Whatever that means.
Just picked up my 05 F250 psd cc white sport . Easy to keep clean at least for a week or two. Black and Tan good combo its just black is hard to maintain. Red is very good looking but I would get pulled over every time I took off from a stop.
As a 62 year old living on Arizona's West Coast, all vehicles have to be white. My 2005 F350 CC Lariat PSD is white over silver with 20% window tint and accordian windshield shades. Only going to be 99 today, but during the summer you soon learn to start out driving with only finger nails on the wheel .
I was told the same thing when I purchased my "Estate Green" Excursion. After giving it 8 inches of lift and 37's I was told it looked like a teenagers truck.
