Angry 4x4 binding

Please help...

I have a 92 F250 when I place it in 4 High or 4 low it binds up after it roles about 10 feet to the front or back. When in 4 low it will go forward but you can tell it is under pressure. What do you guys think? Steer me in the right direction to get this fixed please. Also I replace the auto hubs it had and put manual ones. No help.

Also it seems like the front wheels are dragging the rear when i 4 low.

Hope you ain't on solid ground! You need to be on ground where 4wd is needed/required to get the added traction: ie- LOOSE! Almost any part time 4wd system will bind on solid ground. If you got the truck bound so tight it's not moving, put everything in neutral and jack the front up if you have to so it can "unwind" itself.

If you are on loose ground with this problem, differences in tire sizes front to rear and different ratio ring and pinion gears in the axles will cause it. Some folks run faster gears on the front than the rear so the front will stay ahead of the rears in mud. If your truck is binding in soft ground, sounds like you have faster r&p in the rear and it's trying to push the front.

Check the circumference of all the tires by measuring around the tires with a tape measure. They should be within less than an inch of difference. Even tires the same brand and model of the same size can be different in circumference. All tires on a 4x4 should be repaced at the same time with identical tires.

As mentioned by hdgapeach above, DON'T DRIVE IN 4X4 HIGH OR LOW ON HARD DRY PAVEMENT!!!
