Swapping fuel injection
I was wondering if anyone has placed a fuel injection from a 2.9 engine to a 2.8 engine? If so, how hard was it to do and exactly what is needed for the changeover? Any help would be appreciated. By the way, the 2.9 is from an '87 Bronco II, and the 2.8 is in an '85 Bronco II (carburated).

you could but its a pain in the butt.. the 2.8 and 2.9 are the same blocks.. so your gonna have to plug up the plug where the fuel pump was. put an electric fuel pump on there that pumps at least 30 psi then go to town hooking all that extra wiring up blah blah blah just go with a 302 ....youll be happier in the end..

The 2.8 and 2.9 are not the same blocks they are diffrent the 2.8 is a german desined motor the 2.9 and the 2.8 are very diffrent.
