Tranny swap?
Ok. This question to all the Bronco gurus out there!
I have an '82 4x4 with an inline six on a four speed manual.
I was toying with the idea of swapping for a 5 speed tranny.
I don't need more torque just highway top end and i love my six (especially with gas cost soaring). I want my six to last so another gear would keep me happy.
I spoke to my mechanic, a local bronco nut, and he said that it would be an easy swap.
Please hit me with any negative, or positive feedback on this plan.

the swap would be easy and a good idea. I would only get the zf 5speed though. it is alot stronger then the m5od tranny. even though your motor isnt a serious hp machine it just makes more sense.
