this is a clipping I found out of a magazine, I was wondering if there are any left? or where a person could find one... I have often thought of making something like this but untill I saw this I was discouraged. Does anyone know who built the bodys for those or if there any around anywhere? I think they would make a neat camper if turned into a 4x4. http://www.geocities.com/chupederas/moneytk.jpg
well I dont know why but the picture dissapered, it was a picture of a money truck, about a 1977 ford dually pickup but with a fargo body or something like that that was used for hauling money to and from banks.
Why, have you got a lot of money that needs haulin?
You might call an armored car company to ask how they dispose of obsolete trucks. I've seen a couple around that look like pickup/van conversions, but they looked new.
whatever man, to each their own. I did say what I thought I would like to do with one. and no I dont have alot of money to haul. I geuss this falls into one of those do not ask here questions. but thanks anyway for your input and time. nobody need to respond further as I am through fallowing this thread.
I saw a black one on ebay a few months back, looked real nice. The guy was working out of it. Looked like a great way to keep people from steeling your tools.
That looks pretty neat, but if you were making a camper out of it it might be alittle heavy (armor and all). Just a thought I wonder how many of those things were made? I would love to have an armored 76 F250 with a PSD and a 6 speed. drool.....
