6.9 to a 7. something will it work?

You can go as far as a 7.3 94 turbo IDI motor real easy, bolts right in.
The 83 to 86 6.9 had the old style glow plugs, either you install the old style plugs in the newer motor or you get a new style harness and adapt it to the truck harness.
I went with the new style plugs and a new harness.
Took about an hour to figure out the wire color changes and hook it up.
I really like my 86 7.3 turbo though.......makes the Dodge boys do a double take when you dust them and they hear the turbo screaming.
