Hey i just got a question. I have a 2004 King Ranch 4x4 CC SRW F-350 and my buddy got a brand new 2005 truck thats the same as mine except its a 2005. Now his KR has 18x8 in rims and i have 16x7rims. He is getting rid of them to put on some shinny big big ones. I was going to throw him a few bucks and put them on my truck but I was told not by him but by a somewhat reputable person that they wouldnt fit even though they are both 8x170 bolt pattern. He said that offset on the 2005 is different and wouldnt fit. Anyone with some insight on this would be great thanks....
I think I would pull the front and rear tires off one side and install the KR wheels and see how they fit,, would also recommend you measure some references from the OEM side with your original wheels against the new KR wheels to be accurate on the actual changes,,
try turing the front wheels both ways and see what measurements change,,
have traded several Mercedes wheels in past recent years and if the offset was an inch or less it never made any difference and they worked fine,,
of course you know your rear end gear ratio will be changing if the wheels fit,,??
Yeah i understand the ratio will change. I am currently at about 31in, and i would like to go up to a 33 or so i dont think i will go to35in. My speedo is actuly off by about 3mph because of the 31's they are to small. My speedo will say 70 and my GPS says 67.? That means im putting on more miles then im actuly doing? So going to just a smig taller tire should work that out and get me a better looking truck. The F-350 with with a 2.5inch lift in the front has SO MUCH wheel space. It looks funny so this should help. Good ideas thanks
