I have a 2001 F-250 Ext Cab gasoline 5.4 Ltr Super Duty 2 WD with an unknown socket that resides just below the fuel pump cut off safety switch that is located behind the front passenger kick plate. It has about 4 or 5 wires coming out of the bottom plug going to I know not where.
The open end of he socket had 2 longer pin protruding upward and there appears to be a sawed off card that is slipped into that end that makes contact with some contacts in the black plastic shroud.
I was wondering if this wiring may be useful in building a theft foil circuit.
Does anyone know the purpose of this socket and can it be used for anything constructive. Is there a wiring diagram showing the leads and what their purpose is?
Thanks for any help you may offer.
Thanks fellows for looking, I too am mystified as to the purpose. A friend said it looks like a connector that is installed on some vehicles called Karr-Care but I am unable to find any information on such a vendor on the internet. I will keep searching.
That should be the connection for the overhead console or the cab over lights options. The harness would run up the right side pillar to the 5 cab lights and the overhead console.
