Power drop off
Ok I have an 86 f150 that I have just done a bunch of work to. I put on a holley 390 carb, 14 " K&N filter, offy dp intake ,heddman dual outlet headers and ran straight pipes into a true daul exhaust with two turbo mufflers. All of the factory smog equipment has been removed. I was expecting a serious power increase and I should be albe to at least chirp the tires if I wanted to. Instead I have what feel like a serious power dip before the power comes on and it seem like I need a lot of revs to keep the power from falling off. The truck pulls like a monster from third gear on but I purposely chose all of my parts to keep low end. I have the four speed manual with the granny gear.
