What driving action...

It's not so much hating the idiot on the road as finding myself intolerant of those who do not engage the brain while driving. Which it appears that a great deal do.

People who pull out in front of you and don't realize that their car can actually drive faster than 45 mph.

People who wait at stop signs until no cars are coming. Even if one car is a 100 yards away they will wait. Nail the frickin gas and get going.

Well said Greywolf and Ultramagdan! Trust me, the traffic around here in some parts of central Florida is no cakewalk.

Well I have a few to add.
3.No offense to y'all americans, but when I travelled through new york, virginia, west virginia and north and south carolina a few weeks ago, I noticed more than a few drivers merging onto a 65mph highway at like 40. Here in Canada we scoot off that onramp. Its a real pain to be stuck behind a slow guy taking his time to get up to speed!!

2. not signalling lane changes or turns

1. My number one peeve is someone passing me on the right on an unpaved shoulder when I am waiting to turn left in the middle of the drought of the summer when I've just washed and waxed my '78.
I finally got fed up and straddled the edge of the pavement one day, when some jerk tried to pass and dust me. I'd sacrifice my $100 bumper for some jerk in a unibody! He'd probably get to taste reciever hitch first! Oh I am so scared of you little yuppy in your honda accord!

Well said everyone! Cell phone drivers are probably one of my top pet peaves (just inattentive driving in general!).

But here in Cali I just do not understand the mentality of the drivers that use the right most emergency lane as a passing lane when traffic is heavy on our freeways. I have seen many inconsiderate drivers end up in a ditch or into other innocent drivers not looking for cars in that lane. This just burns me...

Graywolf,

I must agree with you on all but this one point and only in certain situations. I have done this and sometimes still do. When I'm in the left lane going 80 in a 65 zone, and the right lane is moving about 65, there's no reason for someone to be 5" off my bumper. I am NOT going to slow down 65 so I can move out of his way. Usually, I tap the breaks to make the lights go on, but rarely actually slow down. It's not to cause an accident, but to make the idiot behind me realize that if I *do* have to stop, he's gonna hit me.

I have been behind cars that almost lock up the wheels at 65 because of tailgaters. That's just plain stupid.

K.

Here's a new one. In New York it is against the law to use a cell phone unless it is "handsfree". There was a Caravan in the left lane of a 65mph 3lane doing 50. The driver was holding her "handsfree" head set in her right hand - presumably to keep from mussing her hair.

Pet peeve of all time is the driver with little kids jumping up & down in the car when they're supposed to be seat belted. I weep for the little ones...

The ones that always get a few four letter words from me are the idiots that pull out in front of me and go 100 yards and turn into the next street or driveway. Never fails that when I glance up in the mirror to make sure I'm not about to get a sheet metal enema, there's no one behind me.
Makes me wish it were legal to bump.

Cliff

The stupid actions of other drivers I hate the most are:
1. People that pass you then 1/4 mile later decide to turn
2. People that tailgate. A little flash of the brake lights and they back off (usually) For those that don't get the message, a little more aggressive action is taken (usually jump on the brakes)
3. People that tailgate when you are already going 8mph over the limit, then pass you and go slower than you were going before
4. People that just plain don't know how to drive
