I knwo you are doing cedar, but dont do any sycamores for future reference. Allergies or not, you will sneeze and tear up for a good hour or so after cuttin or grinidn them things.
I climb and cut trees for a living and have been around stump grinders for 20 years. Hire someone who grinds stumps for a living. For the cost of your rental, you can hire someone to handle the whole job while you sit back and watch. And he will take less time than it would take you to pick up the machine and bring it back home. And someone who does it for a living will do a better job than you will also, he can get all of the stump without missing spots.
Rocky,
I may take your advise and hire a pro. Found a local guy that charges $2.00 an inch or $75.00 minimum charge. Cost would be same as rental fee with no work.
P.S.
If I charged $2.00 an inch for my services it wouldn't cover the cost of the gas to get to the job site.
