92 302 engine trouble
Hello, I'm new to the forum, but it's been helpful thus far. My problem relates to the running condition of my motor. At idle, it will run, sputter, almost die out and come back, all within 5 seconds, and repeat. When driving, as long as you have the pedal pushed in a little bit, it will run fine. but at cruising the engine does that and the transmission jumps. I took it to the ford dealer and to another place and no one could tell me what's wrong. I took the battery off for 3.5 hours and replaced it, and it runs ok now with it doing it's crap every so often. I've already replaced the fuel filter and cleaned the egr valve. Any idea's? thanks, Scott
