Flowmaster original 40 Series....

Hey all,

Want to put a 40 series on my truck, and have a few questions:

Is it annoyingly loud? I've got everything except the roof of my cab sound deadened, but can still hear quite a bit of road noise. I also have my windows down almost ALL the time. I only plan on chopping my stocker and welding in a SI/SO turned down before the rear axle. My coworker says I shouldn't worry too much about cab noise, but he's got a 93 5.0 pushing 480hp at the crank and 420ft-lbs rwhp running duals with test pipes....My main concern is if I am going to take an 8 hr drive, will I get sick of it real quick?

What diameter do i get? Yes, I AM too lazy to go out and measure it.

Thanks in advance,
rman

Diameter will be 2.5" in and out if you are dumping it...

I have that EXACT exhaust on my truck. I love the sound of it! It's not at all annoyingly loud to me. I wish it were a bit louder to tell you the truth, but I'm kinda hardcore about that stuff. I think you'll be pleasantly satisfied with that setup.

What diameter pipe fits on our trucks? I'm gonna order this muffler off of ebay and get it welded on at local shop here in San Diego, CA

True4.2, do you know if the Origional 40 Series has the single "V" in the muffler or if it has 2 "V"'s? Whats the difference in it and the Delta 40? Thanks

the flowmaster will be loud. if you are a noise freak you will not like it. the magnaflow will give you equal performance with less noise.
