I got my drivers window re-tinted at the dealership the other day because it was bubbling along the edge. I followed the instructions and did not roll down the window for a couple of days. Now when I roll my window down it will not roll up. It rolls up about 1/4 inch each time I press the button.
Is it possible that they just got something wet inside the door while tinting it?
Maybe a pulley is covered in that solution they use and it is just slipping?
You could try to jump the motor to see if the switch may be the problem. Tint wouldnt mess with function but if the tinter got the switch too wet it could cause a problem.
Thanks guys, got it figured out. When they tinted the window they pushed the rubber seal that goes against the window at the top of the door panel down inside the door panel. This was casueing motor extra drag so the motor could not pull the window up. That is why it would go down but not up. I got under one edge of the seal and popped it up all the way accross and the window now works like a charm .
