Noone knows better than a Ford parts & service shop. Simply call your local dealership and the parts guy can run the last 8 digits of your vin, as wellas the id # off your ID tag and tell you more than you could ever want!

The VIN doesn't have information at all about the axles.
I'm not sure exactly what the axle is (if I knew what truck you're talking about, I could tell you) but I know it's 4.10 ratio limited slip axle. There's actually a '4' on the bottom left of the tag obscured by the bolt.

4.10 Limited Slip, 10.25" ring gear. Question is what truck is it off of? Could be either form of Sterling, floating or semi-floating. Floating will have the hubs that stick out well into the wheel hub cavity. Semi floaters have recessed bearings (internal to axle) so you wouldn't see a hub through the rear brakes when you pull the wheel.
