Im confused about this, I unpluged my egr awile ago, and figured that I should see more smoke come out of the tail pipe, but I dont !
So I have been looking for the threads that I used before, to make sure that I did everything correctly, And I cant seem to find them.
I want to make sure about the plate, and shouldnt there be more smoke?

It really won't affect the smoke significantly; maybe only on cold start. Most of the typical diesel "black smoke" comes from overfueling. I have not heard of EGR disconnection making any difference in smoke level.
