under hood light?

I'm still going over my super crew XLT and noticed it doesn't have a light under the hood,wonder why? My silverado had 2 ..

My 2003 Eddie Bauer Expedition has the underhood light but the 2004 and 05 Expeditions do not come with one. This was cost-cutting measure by Ford, so I was told by the dealer. So thats probably the same case with the f150.
