spring problems

Talking spring problems

my 1990 f250 4x4 seems to sit lower than most that i have seen around,I noticed there only about 2" between the front leaf and the bump stop is this normal.it has a wierd sring code on the door "636" what ever that means.Will 1 ton springs fit as i carry alot of weight and hopefuly give it some more hieght.

yes 1 ton springs will fit but doubtful they will give any height. you might look into getting a small suspension lift if you want some extra height

Just to add to your research, I have a '93 f250 4x4 SC long box that had a problem with a sagging front end.

I installed new 1 ton leaf springs up front and the front end shot up 4.5 ". To compensate for the additional height, I installed factory 4" 1 ton rear lift blocks to help level out the truck.

Chances are you may experience a "lift" by adding 1 ton springs
