Trailer Hitch Swap

I have a 2001 2WD Supercrew F-150 and was wondering if I could swap a trailer hitch from a 1984 4WD Single Cap F-150. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I have no real experience with the older F-150s, but I do know that there isn't much in the 1997+ F-150s that is in common with the older ones, the frame is probably different.

You could always see if the bolt holes line up, but I really doubt it.

I doubt it will fit. I wanted to put a Reese hitch from a '90 F-150 on a '97 F-150. Contacted Reese Hitch for mine, they are not interchangable. You can contact Reese to make sure, via E-mail or call. They seem to be pretty good about getting back to you.
