Broken driver's seat frame ?
Anybody have any experience fixing a broken driver's seat frame? Its in my '96 Bronco. The seat back droops back now because the frame slide rail along the bottom is either cracked or has come unwelded in the seatback support area. I was gonna remove the seat and pull the leather cover out of the way and see if it can be rewelded or something. Just wondering if this is a common problem or I just need to lose weight 
. Can a seat upholstery shop repair this kind of stuff?

I put some new seats in my bronco (oem) and the drivers was doing the same thing. I pulled out a couple of the hog rings, moved the fabric out of the way and put a wet rag in there to keep the foam from burning and rewelded it. It has been about six months and have not had a problem yet.

If beyond weld repair try www.car-part.com-free to use. Have repaired quite a few- just had a high milage Focus in - well beyond any repair.Framework is thin sheetmetal with thinwall square or round tubing.Spot welds break and sheetmetal splits -like a windshield at a star crack.
