He's so sorry he got a liitle chevy he has to post on all the ford sites. He keeps changing his name because he's ashamed to be called dmaxer. Sorry but all this little guy wants to do is cause trouble, this guy is a wimp. I can't stand GM.

 

I appreciate the free publicity he's giving FTE. Yeah, a few Chevy guys may stop by for a day or two to try to start trouble but the Ford guys reading his posts will stick around here. Referral traffic from putc is up.

I am a moderator and a senior member of PUTC and let me tell you it is a haywire site at times.It gets alot of "kid" traffic.
I personally use PUTC for the general Discussion and FTE for the real deal.
I will definetly plug FTE as the best Ford site ever and PUTC's Ford forum sucks.
If i have a problem i come here,but if you want a good laugh go there,IMO.
There are only a few "senior" Ford people at PUTC and i can tell you we are all proud FTE members,Pastmaster,Swenson,DayWalker to name a few besides myself.
Also,I moderate the classic/vintage forum and have sent a lot of men to FTE for help so don't think i havn't done anything for FTE.
I just bought a '66 F250 and have some qustions and have really been eye-balling the inventory here for new parts.I may "bs" alot at PUTC but i call FTE home for as long as i'm allowed.

And the real problem with DMAXER is he is not stupid so it does cause alot of friction,unlike a pimple faced kid who just want to rag Fords becuase ol dads drives a Chevy.
I have pissed ol D off too but then again,he has been one of the first to praise my old 4x when i posted a pic there.
I stand behind FTE's policies but still we are all passionate about our brands,even if we are trying to start bs at another site.

blue, just because he likes your truck doesn't make him smart or a good guy. His only reason for posting is to cut down fords where ever he goes. You can stick up for him all you want, but the truth is I hate chevy's and all this guy does is mouth off how bad fords are, them is fighting words,hahaha. No it aint a crime to be a "lurker" instead of posting.I have seen it all and just figured you were someone who doesn't want to be known.
As for my truck he likes other old Fords,I have known him for a year and a half and we have talked many times.I just dont take Ford haters to seriously,afterall,whats there to get exited about?.We know our iron is better!haha!

I like that site, but it in no way is a Technical site. I have referred several people to come over here for the info. I notice they have ever posted/replyed. Guess that shows.


I agree, that Dmaxer is a trouble maker, but he knows what he's talking about, unlike alot of other posters there.

 

hey oleblue70 and you other non members. if ya love this site so much why dont ya join the club FTE.this will help insure that it will be around for along time to come.im big on FORD's and this is the best site i have come accross.so i just had to become a member.and my wife will join me soon.its only 20 bucks.but go ahead and opt fer the t shirt. its a top quality shirt and a bumper sticker to boot.the best part about the shirt is the big logo on the back and the little one on the front.thats the way i like it.i would pay a little more for a shirt with a pocket tho.but this is great just the same.come on be proud be a member.

I want to join FTE, but have not yet becuase me and my girlfreind are buying a house out in the sticks and do not know what are internet situation is goin to be right now. So far it looks like we will be going back to a phone connection vs. our cable we have now. Its going to be a hard transition after having lightning fast surfing but thats the price you have to pay for nice peaceful livin'. So in a couple months after they finish our house, we will probably be off line for a while until we get settled in. We are trying to see if we can get our internet through the satallite but have only heard few things about this so I do not know much. Actually I do not know anything about it. Derick

Myself and Pastmaster are long time members of FTE and we both are a member of a few other sites together.
I dont spend to much time at any one site and they are all free.
I also am into old ChryCo vechicles and a member of a few of those sites.
I enjoy this site,but if it gets to the point where i have to pay to enjoy it,I will join at some point.I don't really need a t-shirt or.....hey i better let this "non-member" subject go,see before you might have been around,I asked why i was a non-member?And ofcourse i understand Ken worked/works hard to keep this thing up but i got the middle finger from most members.
ya know,you are a member(yeah a member,it use to say so,then you are not a member).
I never seen the likes.
I have personally helped alot of guys on this site and still have e-mail freinds from this site for the last couple of years.
I am not a "club" type person in reality so why be so here?
I build alot of vechicles and dont have much money.
I am using the same amount for the club fee to buy the instument cluster plastic from here.I aint got 30 to spare this week!!

You are proof of what i originally said,if you are a not a member or "club supporter",you will be looked down apon,but then again,it's planned that way too.

First, let me lay out the facts....

FTE went through some very tough times around the first of the year. FTE was dependent on advertising revenue for the majority of its revenue. The dot com crash in late 2000 hit FTE HARD. Ad revenues plunged 80% in two months.

Dot coms are still failing, the carnage isn't over yet. Options for utilizing other communities will decrease as this happens. However, FTE is nimble and we made rapid changes to survive. We've been successful... FTE is now in VERY good health and we've made up for the lost revenue with increased marketing, both online and offline plus the addition of new products (and MANY more planned).

There are a few Johnny-Come-Lately sites in the game.... immitation is the sincerest form of flattery! :-), but I'm really not terribly concerned. FTE has many more tricks up its sleeve being tested right now. Plus you can't beat the power of our traffic, over half a million visitors per month and it continues to grow. FTE will expand, add more services and many more "value added" features for Club FTE members. Some features will be for the general public, some reserved for Club FTE members (as Amex says "membership has its privileges").

With that said, I do not think its appropriate for anyone here to try to twist arms concerning Club FTE. While I sincerely appreciate the well intentioned posts urging others to join, we ought not get involved in public guilt trips. Yeah, FTE gives frequent posters a reminder when they post, but that's private. No one, and I mean no one, should be embarrassed into joining.

Some users support through joining the club, others through the online store, and still others by actively helping other users. Its all about community! When I'm at a show and I meet FTEr's, the last thing I ask is if they are Club FTE members. I enjoy meeting users, chatting with them on the phone (so long as they don't drive up my LD bill too much!), etc.

Let's all remember what we're here for...

I dont know if i started the "non member" crap,but i would love to join,I just stated some IMO's and guess it wasn't popular.
