Ya know Tim if you would like to lone your truck to science, you could refrain from adding Power Serivce on your next fill up, and see what the fuel is like after 50 days???
Best of Luck,
Corey
So now you want to make a lab rat out of my truck…well it is white already
Quick question (hopefully). How do you measure and add the additative when you fill your tank? Do you keep the addative in your truck all the time so that it can be added during the fillup?
My average fillup is about 20-25 gal (38gal tank). The power service addative is 32oz/100gal (.32oz/gal) so for 20 gal I would need to add 6.4 oz.
Like many others this is my 1st psd and love it but want to keep it running for a long time.
Thanks
Bill
More additive is better than not enough... more will NOT hurt anything as well. I use all 32oz in my 44 gallon Excursion tank and I get better mileage. I would just use 1/2 a bottle with each fill-up and you should be fine.
I buy the large bottles and keep 1 (unopened) in my spare tire cover for emergencies and refill another bottle that I take with me when I fill up. I am afraid of the refilled bottle spilling or leaking since the foil seal is no longer on it... just the cap. If you can keep it upright, then that's what I would do.
Just run the whole 32oz with each complete fill and partials as you go and I think you may find a difference. May want or need to check your fuel filter... if you haven't to ensure that they did not alreay filter out some bad stuff and maybe that's the problem (clogging)???
