what stall do i need
hello i have an 82 supercab with a c6 and soon to be fresh HO motor and maybe 3.50 rear end. i am thinking of upgrading the convertor just one step. which one would be a nice one and how many splines should i need. i am also looking for a good used one if anybody has one that is in texas somewhere. thanks

I would get a R.V. type, they have a little more stall speed & wont run hot.
I would stay away from used converters, you never know what they have been through or how much crap is in them that could ruin your trans.
